That’s right. This comic is only available on my Steemit feed and not on the Java Home Page. Why? Read on.
I had actually discontinued the Java Jaguar strip several years ago. But then, after it had been inert in cyberspace for a full year, someone left a comment that said they enjoyed the comic and hoped to see some more soon. I’m thinking that person never realized that it had been a year since the last strip (because the date was something like 1 year and a few days after the last posted page).
So, I shrugged my shoulders. Said, “huh.” And posted a new page up. Along with the announcement that from now on, Java Jaguar would only update if someone left a comment under the comic. I think a week or two passed, then I discovered topwebcomics.com, and put Kickman and Java Jaguar there to be discovered. Then a new user came in and left a bunch of posts on some of the older strips. Then another new user came in and started leaving a comment every week. And for the last couple years Java Jaguar has been updating regularly once a week like clockwork because his fans have been good about leaving a comment to keep the strip going.
But LAST WEEK!!!
My regulars dropped the ball. So even though I completed the comic… uncharacteristically early. No update. We’ll see how long it takes the Java fans to realize they messed up. In the meantime, I’ll post it here to Steemit since this community was never part of that original deal. Hey, if some curators throw me some love, maybe I’ll make a Steemit exclusive comic title.
