As for the vulnerability to the blessed crossbow bolt, that is a holdover from the Rakshasa write-up in the 1st edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual. I don’t think they have a similar vulnerability in 2nd through 5th edition, but that is obviously because rakshasa have infiltrated the publishers of D&D to protect themselves. It’s all part of a concerted disinformation campaign that has led to the death of many a monster hunter since the turn of the century. That’s why you need to get your info from the oldest source material… of D&D. Those boys did their homework.
In the series Supernatural, the rakshasa could only be killed by a brass knife. What utter nonsense is that?
