ACT-ing! No wait, ac-TING!

Most people on Hive know me as a comic artist. Some people know that I’m a writer, a traveling nomad, a professional international pet-sitter. A few people know that I’m also an actor (even though it’s been right there in my Bio since I joined Steem back in the day…)

Since I left Hawaii to follow my girlfriend in our non-stop quest around the continental United States, I haven’t had any opportunities to do any acting. We wrapped on the YouTube series Morgan’s Corner in Hawaii. We’ve been moving around non-stop, and while we could always stop and do work as an extra, there has been little to no filming going on since everything shutdown because of the Wuhan Flu.

Then, it just so happens that my incredibly lucky and resourceful girlfriend, Cheri (pronounced like the French “chérie“, not “cherry” or “Sherry”), found an online audition for a production called Tales of The Direwood, that would be running in 3 different wineries in Southern Oregon beginning September 12. As it happens, our last pet sit ends on September 8th, so we sent in a video audition and were both hired. Luckily for us, all the auditions and rehearsals will be online, and the production called for pairs of actors that are quarantined together in the same “germ circle” so that we can rehearse together.

The play will consist of 6 acts of two actors each, all set in the backdrop of some lovely Oregon wineries. Cheri and I are the final act, “The King and His Mirror,” (no pressure). Check out the Facebook link HERE for more information if you will be in southern Oregon any of the last 3 weekends of September folks.
