Jackson Chameleons are pretty bad ass. How do you make it extra bad ass? Hawaiian and/or Samoan tribal tattoos.
Step 1: Ink Outline. Tried something a little different. Used green for the outline instead of black. That way, during the colorize process it would make less of a dark outline around the edge of the figure and it would hopefully take less time to blend that out to make it look more like a painting and less like a comic lizard.

Step 2: Rough color. Fill in our lizard friend with mostly green and some lighter and darker sections for the heck of it.

Step 3: Auto-color and render.

Step 4: Background. Used a big watercolor brush to fill in the background with a view of Koko Head Crater (which is visible from my house). Kept them fairly faint so as not to distract from the bad ass lizard.

Step 5: Tattoos!
