Coffee facts: Coffee beans are not actually beans, they are seeds of coffee cherries. The seeds are roasted to make coffee, but the cherries themselves are bitter and gross and useless for feeding anything except for something with the palate of a goat.
In fact, according to legend, coffee was first discovered as a stimulant by goat herders in modern day Yemen who fed them to goats. Later it was discovered that the seeds could be roasted, ground up, brewed, and monks began drinking coffee to transcribe bibles. Not sure on the accuracy of the legend, but I’ll probably make it canon in the Java-verse.
